Hi, I’m Angela.

I believe therapy can be a place where you feel understood, think honestly, and reconnect with yourself.

Texas Licensed Professional Counselor · #76942

Who are you when you don’t have to prove you’re capable, meet everyone’s expectations, or be the person everyone depends on? When everyone knows you can handle it, who notices what it costs you?

For some, those questions bring relief. For others, they bring discomfort, or the realization that they’ve rarely had the opportunity to consider them. Independence can complicate asking for help. Responsibility can make boundaries difficult. Perfectionism can turn accomplishment into another expectation.

I work with women exploring the expectations, relationships, and identities they’ve built their lives around, and whether those still reflect who they want to be. Together, we can examine how you understand yourself, your choices, and what it might mean to live more authentically and intentionally.

I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Houston Baptist University. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative, with room for humor. I consider how relationships, developmental experiences, cultural identities, and social expectations shape how we think, feel, and relate to others, adapting our work to your needs, goals, preferences, and readiness.

Understanding why patterns developed doesn’t mean they’ll disappear. But greater insight can create opportunities to respond differently and make more intentional choices. We can explore what those choices might look like for you.

“Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

What brings you here

When getting through
isn’t quite enough.

Perhaps life looks together from the outside, but inside you feel stretched thin, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. We can make room for the parts of your experience that don’t always get seen.

Anxiety &
perfectionism

The overthinking, self criticism, and pressure to keep doing more.

Women, identity &
life transitions

Exploring who you are beyond the roles you fill, the expectations you carry, and the woman you’re becoming.

Relationships &
boundaries

Making sense of familiar patterns and the ways you care for others and yourself.

Meaning, loss &
life’s big questions

Making room for grief, uncertainty, and questions about purpose, choice, and what makes life meaningful to you.

How I work

Depth, with something
to carry into daily life.

My foundation is existential, humanistic, and relational. Together, we can explore your experience, the patterns that have taken shape over time, and what a meaningful life looks like to you.

I draw on attachment, feminist, and lifespan perspectives, along with practical tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Our work can hold both the bigger questions and the everyday moments where change takes practice.

My style is direct, with room for humor. I want you to feel supported and understood, and I’ll also challenge you to look honestly at patterns, question familiar assumptions, and consider different choices. There’s room for a laugh alongside the deeper work.

Beginning therapy

A little clarity about the first steps.

01 / CONNECT

A conversation first.

A brief consultation offers space to discuss what you’re looking for and whether we may be a good fit.

02 / UNDERSTAND

Time for your story.

Our early sessions will focus on your concerns, history, strengths, and the context of your life. We can take the time to see the fuller picture.

03 / COLLABORATE

A direction we shape together.

We’ll identify goals and build a plan that reflects what matters to you, revisiting it as your needs and understanding evolve.
